China National Native Produce & Animal By-products Import & Export Corporation (hereafter referred as China Tuhsu) and SunryAdvertising and Exhibition Co., Ltd. will join hands with North American Fur Association (hereafter referred as NAFA) to hold "NAFA Cup the Sixth China International Youth Fur Fashion Design Competition" Cooperation Signing Ceremony and Press Conference on September 9, 2009 at China National Convention Center. At that time the organizers will announce the official start of NAFA Cup the Sixth China International Youth Fur Fashion Design Competition.
Hosted by China Tuhsu and Sunry Advertising and Exhibition Co., Ltd., China International Youth Fur Fashion Design Competition was started in 2005, which was sponsored by International Fur Trade Federation (IFTF), Beijing Yuanlong Fur & Leather Co., Ltd., Huasi Industrial Group Co., Ltd. and Yinshan Fur & Leather Co., Ltd. China International Youth Fur Fashion Design Competition attracts lots of competitors every year. It is one of the most important activities of China Fur & Leather Products Fair and the preliminary round competition of IFTF in China. The theme of the sixth competition is "Dawn of New Decade" which means that year 2010 is a new start of a decade and a new generation of design talents are growing up. The organizing committee aims to foster more outstanding talents for China fur industry.
NAFA is one of the most important fur auction houses in the world and it is a professional fur industry association. It has been engaging in fur design and brand promotion. As the biggest producer and consumer of fur products, China plays more and more important role in international fur industry. As the concepts of fur consumption gradually mature, fur design also increasingly draws attention from market and the industry. It is gradually geared to international standards. To expand the international influence of the competition, to promote the internationalization of China's fur design industry, NAFA will sponsor Year 2010 the Sixth China International Youth Fur Fashion Design Competition. The cooperation will not only promote the competition to go to the world stage, but also introduce the cutting-edge concepts of international fur fashion design into China and bring China's outstanding fur fashion designers into the international arena.
This year, the appraisal format of the competition will be changed reasonably. Before the final, every finalist is required to show his work by models' wearing the fashion before the appraisal committee members. Also the finalists are required to communicate with committee members face to face and explain the source of inspiration for his work and design ideas. Furthermore, they have to answer questions put forward by committee members. On January 12, 2010, top three winners will be produced on the opening ceremony of China Fur & Leather Products Fair. And the winner will be awarded the invitation letter of NAFA Trip of June 2010. Thus, they have the opportunity to visit Toronto, Canada. The organizers indicate that appraisal change is not confined to form, but also it is an active exploration to the integration of international fashion design competition starting with details. Moreover, it is a useful attempt to explore the Chinese fur fashion design talents and to enhance China's fur fashion design level.
