Since being beautiful is something to strive for every single day (not just pre-Valentine’s Day), I’ve made a little list of some of the products that make me feel pretty and romantic with almost zero effort. Trust me, there’s almost no time in the day for me to be primping like crazy. My beauty routine has to be short, sweet, and effective!
1. Brightening Primer. This brightening primer by FusionBeauty goes on smoothly over your normal skin routine. It has pearlized particles to reflect light, hide flaws, and basically kick the ass of makeup in general. It’s best use? Days or times when you know you won’t have time for a full face of makeup. Like for example, if your boyfriend announces that he’s at your front door, you can schmear some of this stuff on with a little tinted gloss and you’ll look rested and radiant!
2. Highlighter! If you’ve got your primer on, don’t stop the light! Dab a little of this highlighting cream (the left side of the compact) under your eyebrows for a wider-eyed look, and even a smidge on your collarbones. You’ll instantly look awake and sexy, and the glossy part of the compact can easily be used as a lash conditioner, brow tamer, or regular ole’ lipgloss.
3. Love Candle. A lady’s best light is candlelight, right? This candle by Thymes is the actual scent of love, apparently, and will fill the room with notes of jasmine and apricot. It’s worth burning even if you have every intention of staying in, alone.
4. Tinted Lip Balm. Why lip balm over gloss? I’ll tell you why. Because if everything goes right you’ll let your hair down and it’ll be bouncing all over the place. Sticky gloss will be more of an inconvenience than anything else at that point. Balm will keep you kissably soft (and not chapped if you’re kissing too much), and a little tint will keep you looking sexy instead of chapsticky. I love this one from Yes to Carrots because the color is always perfect (sheer), and they never test on animals!
5. Sexy Polish. There’s nothing that’s sexier than perfectly done nails and toes, and Illamasqua’s Loella is the perfect shade of seduction. Plus, it has shimmer particles in it that actually help the paint bind to the surface of your nails so you’ll get a longer, less-chipped wear!
