David Beckham has more options than he’s had haircuts

There is a queue of football clubs longer than those seen at train stations across the country this morning, all lining up to offer David Beckham his return to the Premier League.

Beckham has more options than he's had haircuts, and if he is allowed to leave on loan by his US club LA Galaxy, he must pick between them. Yet some are definitely more corn-rows than shaved head. Here we take a look at where he could go.

Blackburn
Beckham's worked with some of the best – Sir Alex, Don Fabio, Sven Goran Eriksson. So why wouldn't he want the honour of working with Steve Kean?

West Ham
Hammers manager Avram Grant has tried pulling on Becks' heart strings, calling a move to West Ham a return 'home' for the London born winger. Nice try, but with so many houses dotted around the world, Beckham himself wouldn't know where home was.

Tottenham
Spurs are the favourites to land Beckham, based, it seems, purely on the fact Harry Redknapp does more talking on the subject than anyone else. A crude method, but in fairness to Redknapp, it has a habit of working.

Sunderland
Beckham has already rejected an offer from Black Cats manager Steve Bruce, but only to watch Take That in concert. "I had a word with Becks – not about football. I invited him to Take That," revealed Bruce. "Unfortunately, he is back in LA at that time, but I did invite him up here." Nice try.

Newcastle
Beckham has spent 12 years rebuilding his career after being vilified after the 1998 World Cup. What could possibly destroy all that work? Is that Alan Pardew on the phone?

Everton
The Toffees were the first club to signal their interest in signing Beckham, having agreed a similar deal for his LA Galaxy team-mate Landon Donovan last season.

LA Galaxy
Chances are, LA Galaxy won't allow him to leave. When he went to AC Milan in the last MLS close season, he came back with a broken ankle. He was also trying to prepare for the 2010 World Cup on that occasion, whereas this time, there is no genuinely good cause for Beckham to play elsewhere.
