Perth Glory coach Ian Ferguson insists there are no hard feelings despite the A-League club being robbed of a goal in their 1-1 draw with Melbourne Heart on Saturday night.

Celebrations quickly turned to angry remonstrations for Glory players in the 63rd minute when referee Gerard Parsons waved play on despite Jamie Harnwell's back heel appearing to cross the goal-line before Heart defender Wayne Srhoj's clearance.

Perth were leading 1-0 at the time, but just seven minutes later had its lead snatched away when Alex Terra scored arguably the goal of the season with a spectacular bicycle kick.

"Look, it's not been given. What can you do, you've just got to move on," Ferguson said after the match.

"I can't blame the referee, at the end of the day he's in the middle of the park and I think the linesman has probably got a better view of that.

"We've all seen it now and it was over the line ... Adriano Pellegrino was bitterly disappointed and upset, he knew it was in the net and it wasn't given."

Debate about whether goal-line technology should be introduced has long raged in football circles, but Ferguson said the A-League could do little until FIFA acted.

Heart striker John Aloisi said the A-League should consider stationing an extra linesman on the goal-line to avoid future controversies.

"I said at the World Cup they should have goal-line technology but I don't think FIFA are going to bring it in," the former Socceroo said.

"I think maybe one of those assistants that stays in line with the goal that can see penalties and can see if the ball crosses, I think that's a good idea.

"They do it in the Champions League so maybe in the future they might do that."

Aloisi said he was unsure whether Harnwell's flick crossed the line.

"If it did cross the line it might have just gone over, but I didn't see it at all," he said.

"I asked a few of their players and Andy Todd said it happened too quick for him to see.

"So if it happened too quick for us then the linesman would have had difficulty seeing it."

Although the Heart remain within striking distance of sixth spot, they face an uphill battle to reach the finals given their daunting run home.

After Wednesday's home clash with Gold Coast, the Heart take on arch rivals Melbourne Victory, runaway leaders Brisbane Roar, high-flying Central Coast before rounding out the regular season against defending champions Sydney.

Heart coach John van 't Schip said he was not surprised when he saw Terra unleash the magical goal.

"We've seen him do that at training, not every day of course," van 't Schip said.

"The first training he made that goal ... it was a great goal.

"It makes football nice to see with goals like that."
