Lady Gaga will preview a new song from her upcoming album, Born This Way, at fashion designer Thierry Mugler's Paris show on January 19. The pop diva shared, "I'm the musical director for the MUGLER fashion show. I'm remixing/previewing a record on Born This Way, tailored for the show + garments."
Although Gaga did not clarify which song she would debut, it is clear the event is highly anticipated. She has previously previewed new music at a different Paris fashion event, using Alexander McQueen's 2009 show as a platform to sample "Bad Romance."
Acting as the musical director for MUGLER appears to be the perfect pairing for Gaga, the star widely known for her unique and daring fashion choices. Mugler's creative director, Nicola Formichetti, is the same designer who created Gaga's legendary meat dress for her to wear to the MTV VMAs this past year.
In response to her bold fashion choices, Simon Doonan, the creative director at Barney's, admits, "That girl is on fashion crack."
Lady Gaga is also slated to perform at next month's Grammy Awards, the same day she launches the first single off the Born This Way album. Both the Grammys and the single's release are scheduled to occur February 13.
